Having lived in numerous locations, Ms. Sansone most recently hails from Charlotte, North Carolina. She left home at age 14 to attend the Harid Conservatory with a full tuition scholarship. After completing her education at Harid, she spent two seasons with the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago where she appeared in Robert Altman's 2003 film The Company. Following her stay with Joffrey, Ms. Sansone worked toward her B.S. in ballet at Indiana University before she joined KCB in 2005. She has been featured in End of Time, Apollo The Concert, Great Galloping Gottschalk, Dark Elegies, and Mozartiana. Ms. Sansone has had the opportunity to even perform Ben Stevenson's End of Time at the International Dance Festival of Colombia. This is Ms. Sansone's fifth season with Kansas City Ballet.

Ms. Sumpter is a Stars Unlimited Graduate, and is beginning her 4th year as an independent instructor and choreographer. Through her years of training in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop, she has had the opportunity to take from several master instructors including Mischa Gabriel, Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell, Marcus and Annie Day, and several more. As a dancer Coleen has won several top awards as a soloist, duet, and group. Ms. Sumpter was asked to be a DCK assistant for "Jazz on Tap on Tour" summer dance workshops as a student, as well as winning additional recognition for her soloist works such as "Masquerades Parade of Stars" and more. As a highschool student Coleen was a 3 year member of the Liberty Sapphires, and as a senior helped to lead the team to their very first state championship. Coleen currently attends William Jewell College, and is on her second year as a member of the WJC dance team. She is currently studying for her degree in accounting from William Jewell.
